FMP time!

The brief is to explore the idea of unite and/or divide.

My direction will take me to the juxtaposition of isolation and connection, inspired by my personal experiences. (Very apt given the current global circumstances.)

My theme will have a starting point in my passion for pole fitness and by extension, lyrical pole dancing. I have recently started lyrical pole dancing at the gym that I go to for my regular pole sessions. The emotions and messages conveyed within the choreography is very intriguing to me. I would like to express the idea of connection to others with the universal language of dance and music, alongside feelings of or being physically isolated.

Recently I have been using mixed media in my work. I am looking forward to continuing along this path to challenge my problem solving and further my knowledge and techniques in using 3D materials.
